On December 7, 2023, U.S. Marine Corps Brigadier General Peter Huntley, commanding officer of Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH), and Colombian Aerospace Force Brigadier General Pedro Arnulfo Sánchez Suárez, commander of the Joint Special Operations Command (CCOES), signed the history first Capability Development Action Plan for Colombian Special Operations Forces 2025-2029, in Tolemaida, Colombia. The signing of the document between Colombia and the United States, will enhance synchronization of security cooperation as well as efforts to obtain mutual goals of regional stability and the professional exchange of ideas, experiences, and practices between the two partner nations over the next five years.
