Ecuadorian security forces seized 7,148 kilograms of cocaine in 10 operations carried out November 21–December 2, 2021.
On December 2, the Ecuadorian Police reported the seizure of 245 kg of cocaine in two containers bound for Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala. That same day, officers reported seizing 133 kg of cocaine in a container with bananas, in the Port of Guayaquil, Guayas province.
In that same port on December 1, with the support of the Colombian Navy, the Ecuadorian Police seized 1,100 kg of cocaine in a container bound for the Port of Buenaventura, Colombia. The final destination was Antwerp, Belgium.

On November 26, in San Jacinto de Balzar, Guayas province, the Police and the Office of the Attorney General reported seizing 1,530 kg of cocaine that were being transported in the false bottom of a truck through Pichincha province. “The destination of this drug was Europe, specifically the Netherlands,” said District General Giovanni Ponce, national anti-narcotics director of the Police.
On November 25, authorities reported the seizure of 158 kg of cocaine in a swamp of the El Carrizal estuary, in Guayas province. Authorities indicated that the drug belonged to a criminal organization that moved it in speedboats to Guayaquil, where its members would contaminate containers.
On November 25, in El Oro province, the Police reported seizing 137 kg of cocaine hidden in banana boxes in a truck belonging to a packing company. That same day, authorities reported that a K9 unit had found 700 kg of cocaine in a truck in San Miguel de Ibarra, Imbabura province.
On November 23, in the city of Palestina, Guayas province, the Police seized 1,800 kg of cocaine in a truck in a drug storage center.
On November 22, the Police reported the seizure of 902 kg of cocaine, with support of the Ecuadorian Navy, in the false bottom of a speedboat, in Playa Murciélago, Manabí province.
Finally, in Guayaquil on November 21, the Police reported seizing 4,443 kg of cocaine and dismantling an organization that engaged in international drug trafficking.
