The Argentine National Gendarmerie (GNA, in Spanish) and Naval Prefecture (PNA, in Spanish) seized 11,643 kilograms of marijuana and 2,610 kg of coca leaf October 9-16, 2021.
On October 22, the GNA confirmed seizing 397 kg of marijuana in a truck carrying wooden logs near Tapebicuá, Corrientes province. A drug sniffing dog found the shipment in an auxiliary fuel tank.
On October 21, the GNA reported the seizure of 250 kg of coca leaf that criminals were transporting in a truck in Tartagal, Salta province. That same day, the gendarmes reported the seizure of 838 kg of marijuana in Puerto Piray, Misiones province. The shipment was located on the banks of the Paraná River.
On October 20, in Puerto Rico, Misiones province, the PNA reported the arrest of five men, who were trying to enter the country through a clandestine border crossing on the riverbank in the Puerto San Alberto area, carrying 1,387 kg of marijuana.

On October 18, the PNA also confirmed that thanks to a drug sniffing dog they found 4,738 kg of marijuana, in cabins that were used as warehouses in Puerto Iguazú, Misiones province.
On October 16, the Gendarmerie seized 910 kg of coca leaf in a truck in Abra del Acay, Salta province. Hours later, they found another 1,000 kg of coca leaf in La Quiaca, Jujuy province. That same day, the Prefecture confirmed the seizure of 960 kg of marijuana in Puerto Rico, Misiones province, in a shed that fishermen used.
On October 15, the GNA seized 200 kg of coca leaf in a truck in Salta city, Salta province.
The Gendarmerie reported that on October 11, during a night patrol in Posadas, Misiones province, they seized 600 kg of marijuana that was in a vessel on the Paraná River.
On October 9, the GNA seized 2,723 kg of marijuana in Eldorado, Misiones province, and 250 kg of coca leaf in Salta city, Salta province. The marijuana was found in two mounds, covered with pine branches and leaves. A pick-up truck was transporting the coca leaf.
