A money sniffer dog that works for the United Kingdom Border Agency at Gatwick Airport, London’s second largest airport, detects money on passengers and their luggage. In 2011, dogs
used to fight smuggling and the movement of drug money around U.K.’s airports and ports
sniffed out nearly 10 million pounds (almost $16 million) of hidden cash. Of the detector dogs
used by the border force, 19 are specially trained currency detector dogs that routinely check
