Ecuador Will Hold International Forum on Technology Parks

Quito, June 16 (EFE).- The Ministry of Industry of Ecuador is is in final stages of preparation for the I International Forum on Technology Parks scheduled for June 22, 23 and 24, with the participation of subject matter experts from Spain, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay, among other countries. The event, which is to take place simultaneously in Quito, in the port city of Guayaquil and in Cuenca (south), will be “an opportunity to show the country’s capabilities of the Technology Parks, to the productive, scientific and university sectors,” explained the communiqué from the Ministry. Besides, it will make it possible to analyze how to improve industrial sector, education and competitiveness through innovation. This forum targets business people and researchers, it will present the Latin American and international trends in technology parks and organizations of professionals and researchers that seek to provide specialized services in innovation and productivity improvement. The international attendees will be able to share some of the “success stories” of bringing social and economic assistance to the countries, which have become centers of industrial development and improvement.
