Capacity Building: includes articles on any bilateral or multilateral effort to reinforce a partner nation military's strengths. For example, any joint training effort, operation, exercise, seminar, etc. that shows the willingness of the United States to support its partners by sharing their knowledge and experience in certain areas that will make the partner nations better prepared to respond to their country's challenges themselves. These include medical readiness exercises (MEDRETEs), seminars, subject matter expert exchanges (SMEEs), or any joint learning effort among partner nations.
Multinational Exercise Panamax 2014 Begins
Originally proposed by Chile, the first Panamax took place in 2003. It came to fruition through coordinated efforts between Chile, Panama, and the United States. Since then, this military exercise has grown significantly over the years with the participation and assets used from several countries.
