Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - The tank landing ship (LST) “Almirante Saboia,” recently commissioned into the Brazilian Navy, will be on its way to Haiti in coming days. The Brazilian Navy has been prepared to deploy the ship since the beginning of the Brazilian aid effort for that country and was waiting for a decision regarding the cargo and the moment to transport it.
