The new technologies that emerged in the 1990s with the advent of the internet are undoubtedly wonderful tools that inaugurated a world without limits, where time and distance vanish amid global interconnectivity. However, like the greatest inventions, they also created a universe of possibilities for individuals, groups, and governments to unleash secret wars in the form of cyberattacks and virtual threats.
