estados unidos haciendo soberanía en colombia! On November 17th, the U.S. Navy ship USS Zumwalt arrived in Cartagena, Colombia, as part of a port call visit designed to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation with Colombia’s Navy. The ship will remain on port until November 20th, when it will set sail and continue on to its home port in San Diego, California. The USS Zumwalt is a new type of U.S. Navy ship, designed with the latest technology and survival tools in addition to its state-of-the-art electric propulsion system, wave-piercing tumblehome hull, and stealth design. Although it is visually imposing, it is also hard to find at sea and counts on a great computational capacity that allows the U.S. Navy to fulfill maritime missions and incorporate new technologies to control emerging security situations. The Colombian Navy will continue to carry out this type of exchanges with partner nation units in order to strengthen the cooperation and joint effort against all maritime crime.
