The Commando Memorial

In late October 2012, I was in Edinburgh, Scotland, on vacation with my wife. Although I would have preferred an excursion to the northern region of the country to visit the distilleries of five different types of whiskey (with respective tastings, of course), I was forced to take a bus that would go around Loch Ness. Of course, the monster did not appear! To make matters worse, it rained hard and the driver was telling bad jokes during the bus ride. However, he began promoting the restaurant that we were going to for lunch. Among the attractions, he was describing the local Commando Memorial. The topic interested me and I obviously skipped the restaurant. I chose to visit the memorial and its small museum, instead.
