Some 400 Peruvians Reservists Go To Work In Afghanistan And Iraq

About 400 reservists from the Armed Forces and police of Peru departed for Afghanistan and Iraq, where they have been hired to provide security for facilities of U.S. companies. The reservists, including civilians who are weapons trained with background in security work, traveled on a charter flight company Air Jordan. According to EFE, the Peruvians will travel to Jordan, where they will be sent to their final destinations. Some of the passengers stated that they were summoned by the company TCM in Lima, which trained them in the Peruvian capital before sending them with contracts of one to two years of work. With the departure of this contingent of former military and police, the number of Peru’s contribution who have traveled to Afghanistan and Iraq this year is now 1,000.
