Ministers of Economy Miss Arab League Meeting to Follow Obama

Cairo, 04 June (EFE).-Official sources reported that the Ministers of Finance and Economy from the Arab League missed the meeting scheduled today in order to receive the message of U.S. president Barack Obama, addressing the Arab world Due to the absence of the Ministers, the secretary general of the Arab Economic Council, Ahmed Juweili, decided to reduce the level of the meeting so that representatives on the Vice Minister level might be able to concur. According to Juweili, the meeting as called in order to analyze the regional impact of the worldwide financial crisis. Obama spoke at Cairo University today, addressing a message directed at Islam which he had promised during his electoral campaign and which had aroused great expectations in the Arab World.
