Military World Games Committee and Rio’s Vasco da Gama Soccer Team Sign Partnership Agreement

The Operational Planning Committee for the 5th Military World Games and the Vasco da Gama Yacht Club (“Clube de Regatas Vasco da Gama”) have just established a partnership without cost to either party.
The partnership consists of the use of São Januário Stadium between July 16th and 24th, 2011 for the main soccer matches of the Military World Games, the formation of a joint working group by the club and the Games Committee to plan the details of the soccer matches, and the development of projects that will add value not only for the Vasco da Gama club and for the 5th edition of the Military World Games, but particularly for Brazil, as well as marketing activities for the games inside São Januário Stadium.
Present for the signing of this partnership were the general coordinator of the 5th Military World Games, Gen. Jamil Megid Junior, the president of the Vasco da Gama club, Roberto Dinamite, representatives of the Sports Council of the Armed Forces, and directors of the Vasco da Gama club.
