On March 26, the president of Embraer, Frederico Curado, Florida Governor Rick Scott, Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown, and Congressmen Corrine Brown and Ander Crenshaw attended the inauguration of a plant where Embraer will assemble the aircraft for the U.S. Air Force’s (USAF) Light Air Support (LAS) program. Over 200 local executives, authorities and press members attended the ceremony held in a 3,716 square meter hangar at Jacksonville International Airport.
