Dominican Republic: 1,200 kilograms of cocaine seized

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – Dominican Republic’s National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD), the Navy and the Army detained three suspects in connection with the seizure of 1,200 kilograms of cocaine in Punta Salinas in the southwestern province of Peravia on Oct. 7.
Police seized the cocaine, which was wrapped in 1,060 packages, and arrested the suspects, whose identities have not been released, on a speedboat in the Caribbean Sea.
