U.S. Air Force Southern/Twelfth Air Force has been providing a venue for leaders of air forces of partner nations to build personal relationships while discussing capabilities and common issues during the South American (SOUTHAM) Air Chiefs and Senior Enlisted Leaders Conference. The last conference, carried out November 16-19, 2021, at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, in Tucson, Arizona, brought together participants from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay to discuss topics ranging from humanitarian assistance and disaster response; professional development; the Women, Peace, and Security program; transregional threats; and strengthening the cyber and space domain in the Western Hemisphere.
