Along with pride at being named the site of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Rio de Janeiro is proud of hosting international military tournaments. In 2011, the city will host the fifth Military World Games, which take place every four years. Brazil is one of the 131 member nations of the International Military Sports Council, or CISM.
